JVC RV-NB70 Kaboom System for iPod
Designed to be your all-around music device, the JVC RV-NB70 Kaboom System for iPod plays music files of different formats stored in different types of music storage systems. Looking very much like earlier versions of the Kaboom, it is cylindrical in shape with two rounded speakers on its front flanking the control panel. This includes an LCD display and docking station for iPod or iPhone. Two woofers are mounted on each end of the cylinder.
The iPod or iPhone dock is enclosed with a door equipped with a Twist Auto Lock. This keeps your Apple devices from accidentally falling off its perch on the dock. It also protects them from exposure to the elements when listening to music from the Kaboom at the beach or in the woods.
A USB port that is compatible with USB Mass Storage Class devices allows you to play music stored in your USB flash memory device. You can also play music from your memory cards via a multimedia card reader with a USB plug. Equipped with a CD player, the NB70 Kaboom also plays your CD and CD-R/RW collections. Whether playing from your USB or CD player, the Kaboom can recognize both MP3 and WMA files.
In addition to playing your own files, or if you just want to listen to sports news, weather forecasts, or traffic updates, you can switch on the FM tuner. With 30 presets, you need not scan the entire FM band spectrum in search of your favorite stations.
You can also make your own music with the Kaboom, as it is equipped with a guitar/microphone input. You can either use it to amplify your electric guitar, or plug in a microphone for a night of karaoke singing.
The JVC RV-NB70 Kaboom System for iPod has a total power of 40 watts coming from 8mm full-range speakers and 13mm super woofers. It comes with a remote control and a shoulder strap. It works both with AC and DC power.
