Ultrasone Zino Headphones

Digital audio players, or MP3 players as they are often called, normally come with earbuds or earphones that are positioned at the opening of the ear canal. In addition to these, improved versions with better sound quality and wider dynamic ranges are also available. Some audiologists, however, are convinced that these devices can damage the ear. If you are concerned about this potential risk, you may want to try out the Ultrasone Zino Headphones.
Although the Zino cannot compete with earphones in terms of size and portability, it incorporates such technologies as S-Logic and ULE (Ultra Low Emission) that are intended to prevent hearing loss. S-Logic uses decentralized drivers to direct the sound to the outer ear of the listener, instead of directly into the ear canal. This reduces pressure on the eardrum by as much as 40% in comparison to that generated by conventional headphones. ULE technology, for its part, consists of an MU-Metal shield that virtually eliminates the amount of radiation a listener is exposed to, reducing it to 2% of the amount from regular headphones.
The Zino is compatible with iPods, iPhones, as well as other MP3 players and portable music players. Attached to the earphones is a standard Y-shaped cable which ends in a gold-plated 3.5 mm jack. It is lightweight and comfortable because of the squared-off design of the band as well as the soft foam pads on the earpieces. These are wrapped in a nylon mesh that feels smooth to the ears.
Because of S-Logic, the Zino delivers a sound that is spacious and natural. It is an outside-the-head kind of sound making you feel like you are listening to an expanded soundstage of music.
The earpieces are hinged so that they can be folded for easy storage in a hard carrying case that comes with the headphones.
